(It has been over a month since I have posted! I hate how behind I am on documenting our little life because so much has happened that I want to remember! I am going to start at the present and move backwards)
Friday afternoon, after picking Cambell up from school and getting her down for a nap, I settled down on the couch with the computer and a snack only to find I had a Facebook message waiting for me from a friend I have lost touch with for some time. Imagine my surprise when the message held an offer for free tickets to the A&M v. Arkansas game at Cowboy Stadium the next day! We had blocked off Saturday to work on Grayer's room, but this was just too good of an opportunity to pass up! I am SO glad we went! I am indebted to the beautiful Kelley Wolfe! Kelley and I cheered together in high school and then she became my Little Sis in Tri Delt at A&M. She now works for Cowboy Stadium, and boy did we reap the benefits this weekend :).
Everything went better than expected. Parking was a breeze. A shuttle took us right up to will call where I literally walked up and got our tickets! It was especially exciting to go up the escalator into the club section where our seats were priced at $225 a pop. Upon finding our seats, I discovered another long lost family friend waiting in the seats next to ours. I LOVED getting to catch up with precious Abby Burleson (now Reyes). I am actually in contact with her mom often, as she is our family photographer (we actually have a session with her tomorrow), but I had not seen Abby in a LONG time!

Cambell did well considering the game was smack dab in the middle of nap time. Mommy came prepared with books, coloring books and crayons, and most importantly, stickers. We laughed at the differences ANYTHING with a two year old brings, but especially football games. A little less about the game and beer, a little more about the halftime show and, well, stickers. Cambell LOVES stickers. After growing bored of sticking them together in one pile, as she usually does, Abby helped her come up with a new game, placing stickers on her face. Gotta love anything that keeps a girl occupied for more than 10 minutes!

Trying SO hard to Gig 'Em with her little thumb. She had it down by the end of the day. I felt like a terrible Aggie, just now teaching my daughter how to gig em! It is especially important for us to instill a love for A&M early because our other school of choice may not be feasible financially :). "Gig Em, Aggies" started out as, "Gig Em, Daddy", graduated to "Gig Em, Gaggies", and was eventually perfected. Abby is a fellow half blooded Aggie Bear, so she sympathized and we practiced Cambell's Sic Em as well.

This is going to sound terrible, but I forgot how much I love my Alma Mater. I am inundated with all things Baylor on a daily basis-which I absolutely love- but this was a good reminder that I am in fact, an Aggie!

One of the best parts of the day was getting to explore the stadium. We were in a club section, so our amenities were above average, to say the least. Baylor was still playing when we first arrived and Graham threatened to hang out in the lounge to watch until their game ended. Thankfully, he assumed the role of the dutiful Aggie hubby, although I would not have minded because the lounge was so nice.

We are so grateful to Kelley for allowing our little family this experience! We know spontaneous trips like this will not be possible for a while in a few short months, making this day especially memorable and precious. We took full advantage of this special family time. After leaving the game a little early, we stopped in downtown Burleson for dinner at a spot we LOVE and had been to once before. You should definitely try Fresco's Cocina Mexicana if you are ever in the area. We had been there once before with my aunt and uncle who used to live in Burleson. Had we not been with a 2 year old, we would have sat on the deck and enjoyed some live music- but I wouldn't trade her and the food tasted just as good inside :).
Even though the Aggies were not victorious in the end, we had a PERFECT Saturday, thanks to the wonderful Kelley Wolfe!

You guys got the hook up!! I can just imagine C's cute southern voice saying "Gig 'Em Gaggies" and as much as I dislike the Aggies it must have been the cutest thing ever :) Miss you guys.
What a fun day! I didn't know that Kelley worked at Cowboys Stadium. How sweet of her to think of you guys. You look wonderful. I can't wait to see what you are doing for Grayer's room!
